Why The Willow Tree Project?

Celtic symbolism of WILLOW TREES represents

nature's balance. They are a symbol of fertility

and fresh life, adapting to change and staying

alive due to adaptability and power. Willow Trees are a potent symbol of survival as they can withstand high wind storms and other natural disasters. Because Seniors, like the Willow Tree have beauty, energy and strength, The Northern Starz Willow Tree Project offers programs that provide...BALANCE, COURAGE, GROWTH, FLEXIBILITY, MOTIVATION, THEATRE, HARMONY, RESILIENCE, STRENGTH, AND SOCIALIZATION.

We invite our 55+ seniors to be a part of our Willow Tree Project.

Jewels of deNial Troupe

 About the troupe

“The Jewels of deNial '' is a 55+ performance troupe, performing in a “Radio Show” style theatre style. Currently an all female troupe, these ladies agree that the process of aging has its challenges, but it doesn't have to! They meet weekly (in the non-winter months) to rehearse the radio scripts and of course, brainstorm new ideas for writing their own scripts - which are based mostly on real life events.  Of course, those stories have been modified with a little extra pizazz and razzle dazzle. As they say, laughter is good medicine ...and goodness, the Jewels of deNial sure do laugh a lot!

The ”Jewels of deNial” perform both on-site at Northern Starz with luncheon and dinner theatre performances ~ and will also come to YOU at your office, coffee club, luncheon, senior center, or any other venue!

Jewels of deNial Upcoming Shows

TURNING BACK TIME

Friday, May 2nd and Saturday May 3rd, 2025

Wouldn’t it be fun to turn back the clock and stop the aging process? The Jewels of deNial started a book club a while back and are in the process of reading “The Time Machine,” by H.G. Wells. This topic appeals to all of them and they’ve purchased their own time machine online. The trouble is, they need someone to assemble it and make it work. They travel their journey through the sands of time. Picture it. You’re the guest of honor at your own first birthday party.

NEW at Northern Starz for our friends 55+, and part of the Willow Tree Project! Do you remember a day when you were once on the performance stage? Have fun on stage - without any pressure! (Yes! You can keep your script in your hand if you want to!)
